No. Indian citizens travel domestic — just an Aadhaar or driving licence at IXZ check-in is enough. Foreigners need a Restricted Area Permit (free, 30 days, issued at IXZ on arrival). The Tribal Reserve and North Sentinel Island remain off-limits to all visitors.
Nov–Apr only, and weather-dependent. The kayak tour runs on dark-moon nights when the plankton bloom is strongest — we time the trip around the lunar calendar where possible. May–Oct we swap it for a star-gazing dinner at the resort. Either way, no upcharge.
BSNL and Airtel are reliable — 4G LTE on Havelock and Neil. Jio is patchy and often 2G-only. We recommend turning on roaming or buying a BSNL/Airtel SIM at IXZ; the resort WiFi at Symphony Palms is solid in the lobby and weak in the rooms.
Yes — 30-minute training in shallow water, then a 30-minute guided dive at 8m. Instructor is one-on-one for first-timers. Anyone with current ear infections, severe asthma, or pregnancy must skip; we'll swap for a snorkel session and refund the difference.
Govt ferries get cancelled in heavy weather (mostly Jun–Sep). We pre-book Makruzz Premium (private operator, hardier) and hold a contingency seaplane seat for emergency Havelock returns. If it lands you a day late, we cover the extra hotel night and re-quote the trip.
Climate windows tagged for this trip — peak months are hotel-priced accordingly, shoulder months trade weather for value.
